Voting Rules
An independent fan fantasy project. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Phish or any featured artist. Votes do not determine any artist's setlist.
1. Treats
- Each signed-in account receives 10 treats per calendar month. The month is counted in Eastern time (America/New_York). Unused treats do not roll over.
- You can place 1 (Fun-size), 3 (a Handful), or 5 (Full-size) treats on a pick. You can set a pick to 0 to remove it. Changing a pick replaces the earlier amount.
- If you lower or remove a pick, the difference returns to your bag for that month.
- Songs, albums, and ideas share the same bag of 10. Each type has its own ranking.
- You can spend up to 10 treats in a month. The Site rejects a vote that would go over 10.
- Past months are closed. Votes in a closed month do not change, apart from a correction the Operator makes under Section 6.
2. Who can cast a counted vote
To cast a counted vote you need an account with a verified email, an active status, and acceptance of the current Terms and Privacy Policy. You can browse and assemble a preview ballot without an account. A preview ballot does not count until you sign in and confirm it.
3. One budget per account is not one person, one vote
The Site gives each account one budget. It does not check who you are. A person could hold more than one email address, so the Site does not promise one person, one vote. Making extra accounts to gain treats is not allowed and may lead to removal of votes and accounts under Section 6.
4. No purchased votes, prizes, or wagers
- Treats and votes are not for sale. Do not buy, sell, trade, gift, or offer them in exchange for anything of value.
- The Site offers no prizes, payments, or wagers connected to rankings.
- Likes, ratings, and bookmarks do not change treat totals.
- Rankings are for fun. They do not determine any artist's setlist.
5. How rankings work
- Candidates rank by total treats, then by number of supporters. If both match, the candidates show as tied. The Site uses an internal identifier to keep the display order stable.
- With fewer than 20 supporters, the Site hides measures such as "passionate" and "biggest riser" and shows "More votes needed."
- A chart with no votes says "Be the first to vote."
- Rankings can be a few moments behind and show when they were last refreshed.
6. Nominations, duplicates, and corrections
- A nomination needs an artist, a title, and a type. A source link and a short original pitch are welcome. You can have up to 5 pending nominations at a time.
- The Site shows possible duplicates before you submit.
- If a nomination is removed, the treats placed on it return to the voters' bags.
- If two nominations are merged, each voter who held treats on both keeps the larger of the two amounts on the surviving pick. Treats that no longer count return to that voter's bag, so the voter's total does not exceed 10.
- Moderators fix metadata and merge duplicates. They do not privately add votes or boost a ranking.
- The Operator may reverse votes that came from rule breaking, such as extra accounts or vote trading, and will record the reason. You can appeal as described in the Terms.
7. Phish history
Facts about whether and when Phish played a song come from public sources, chiefly Phish.net, with links to the source and to phish.com. The Site does not republish setlists. A song that has not been checked says "not yet checked." It does not say the song was not played. Some facts may be out of date or wrong, and links are provided so you can check.
8. Not licensed music
The Site uses text and original graphics. Nothing on the Site is licensed audio, artwork, or lyrics. Song and album names identify the music. See the Copyright Notice.
9. Independent project
